Unless we get content that contradicts this, I think I’m always going to be in the camp of “We the audience and Till will never be certain if he could have reciprocated Ivan’s feelings or not because Till never knew of them before Ivan’s death and therefore wasn’t given a proper chance to decide,” but what is certain is that no matter where you believe Till’s feelings for Ivan did or did not lie, it's clear he cared for Ivan and saw him as his closest friend even if he didn’t really acknowledge it. So if we ever get one of those longer comics from Till’s perspective about Ivan, and he refers to Ivan as being his friend or best friend, I think that would be another rare moment in the series where I cry because with how those two’s relationship is, Till just bluntly going “yeah, he was my friend, he was dear to me” would get me. It would get me so bad.
