For week 1 I was sitting around 903 words (cue internal crying lol) bc my week suddenly became much busier than I was expecting. However! My university is on spring break atm so I’m hoping to do some writing in the morning, every morning
I think the daily ritual will work well for me :)
So far I’ve bumped myself up to 1360
Congrats! You’ve all reached the end of the first week!!
How has the challenge been for you so far? Are your stories starting to take shape?
Drop your WC in the comments/reblog and share your thoughts!! We’re all in this together 💪

hey so let’s just go wild!!! you can write what you want!! and even share it with others!!!
deku’s father hasn’t been present in his life at ALL so deku’s thinks his family constellation (father living separately from the mom and kids) is the default, and then he visits bakugo for the first time and sees mr. Bakugo in the kitchen preparing lunch for them and deku is like kacchan why is there a grown man in your kitchen!!!! and Masaru has to sit down with deku and explain to him that some husbands and fathers do, in fact, like their families and live with them (it takes deku a while to get used to seeing Mr. Bakugo in Mrs. Bakugo’s house like that just doesn’t sit right with him)
I think that there's a feeling that, if you start writing something and don't finish it, it's a failure.
As someone who has far more unfinished pieces than finished pieces (sorry to anyone who reads my stuff on AO3), here are a few good things about doing this:
First, all writing is practice. Just like there are reasons to sketch and do practice drawings, writing even unfinished pieces builds your skills in drafting sentences, characterization, voice, tone, and even working in a variety of styles. If you start a story in a new style, even if you never finish it, you have some experience in that style now.
It can also tell you what you love or hate about something. Sometimes you don't finish something because you realize you don't like it. That knowledge is also valuable.
Second, you can always go back to unfinished work. The main novel that I'm querying right now is one where I wrote the first couple thousand words and then didn't touch it again for probably at least a year and a half. It's now a finished novel.
Sometimes you need space away from a story to make it work. Sometimes you need to improve your writing skills to be able to accomplish whatever you were trying to accomplish then. Sometimes you need a mental or physical health break or you just need more time in the day before you can finish something.
Third, writing is fun and you shouldn't hold yourself or your sense of success at writing to how many stories you finish. Did you enjoy yourself even for the period of time that you wrote whatever you wrote? Did you end up with something cool, interesting, fun, exciting, weird, or different? Great, that's all a victory.
Bakugou: Hey you want a tarot reading?
Momo: Those are Pokemon cards.
Bakugou: You got a Magikarp.
Momo: …
Bakugou: It means ‘fuck you’.
reblog if it's okay for your mutuals to message you and create an actual friendship, not just interactions
Everything feels awful right now but it isn't really. We still don't officially have a winner, but regardless of how the presidential election ends up, I wanted to take a minute and find what lights I can in the 3 a.m. darkness. Here's what I know:
* Kentucky overwhelmingly rejected an attempt to undermine the public education system by offering private school vouchers:
* Delaware has elected a transgender woman to the House of Representatives, the first out trans person of any gender ever elected to congress:
* For the first time in history, two Black women will be serving in the senate at the same time, and they are only the fourth and fifth Black women ever elected to the senate:
* New York State has passed a constitutional amendment enshrining the rights of pregnant people (including the right to an abortion), LGBTQIA+ people, the disabled, immigrants regardless of legal status, and other at-risk groups:
* Democrat Josh Stein has beaten self-avowed Nazi Mark Robinson to become governor of North Carolina:
That's everything I know off the top of my head. It's not many bright spots, but it's not zero. I'm going to try to find more and I'll add them to the post. It's the only thing I can think of to do that isn't sobbing and throwing up or looking up Canadian immigration rules.
If you know more good news, I encourage you to add it in reblogs.
I definitely get the feeling that izuku has compartmentalized his gay thoughts by locking it away like “ok well sure I’m gay, but I’m only gay for kacchan and pffft THATS never happening so yay gay crisis adverted” and now kacchan is coming to him with big wet heart eyes like “hey Izuku I’m DEFINITELY in love with you btw” and cuts to Izuku shrieking and scrambling for the door
tried some hand at some bakudeku!! in which class 1-a is convinced that midoriya and bakugou are exes
