Nobody Asked But I'm Excited About This, So Here's A Headcanon/theory I Have That I'm Adding Into My

Nobody asked but I'm excited about this, so here's a headcanon/theory I have that I'm adding into my Smurfs fanfic. Please hear me out:

When a baby Smurf is delivered by stork to a village, it's because it had no capable guardian. The loss of their guardian turns the moon physically blue- it doesn't have to be an actual blue moon. Papa used Baby's arrival to convince his Smurfs this is how Smurfs are born, but Smurfs are hermaphroditic and do actually reproduce sexually. Papa is just embarrassed by the whole idea of talking about it.

I also hc that both Papa and Willow's villages are formed entirely out of Smurfs that have been delivered by stork. This is because neither found a partner and so were able to adopt and raise new baby Smurfs from other parents, rather than having their own. It's kinda similar to kea (alpine parrots native to New Zealand) that don't find partners - they run schools for groups of young kea to learn kea skills.

And some things I have considered:

Wild- got lost but was adopted by squirrels before the stork could take him to a village. The squirrels were deemed worthy parents and so wild was left with them.

Baby delivered to wrong village in comic (this theory only works for the lost village/ntob timeline) - he's actually a 'girl' smurf with alopecia and was meant for the girls' village, but the stork got mixed up because he was hairless and it thought he was a true hairless Smurf like the rest of the 'boy' Smurfs. In reality he will never be able to grow hair, even at Papa's age.

The system is to help prevent the already dwindling Smurf population from falling even further. It's just an idea and I'm sure there are holes but yk

Fun to think about :)

Also I consider the 'boy' Smurfs to just be hairless Smurfs, and 'girl' Smurfs to just be Smurfs with head hair.

Kinda like a dog breed situation, where each one finds more familiarity with their own breed and so the storks group them together.

The Lego Ninjago movie, but instead of everyone immediately dropping their hatred of Lloyd when they find out he's the green ninja, they instead come to hate the green ninja, and accuse him and the others of teaming up with Garmadon to prolong his attempted takeovers and therefore increase overall destruction over time to make it even easier for him to conquer Ninjago in the long run

The whole 'people see a monster' speech likely completely ignored

And so Lloyd is back to square one, but now he hasn't got his beloved secret identity to hide behind anymore

I mean these people despised him for absolutely no reason other than his last name, to the point that a song about him being bad became a number one hit even though most people didn't even know him, and they always blame him for damages etc instead of the person actually doing the damage - Lord Garmadon himself

They completely overlooked the fact that they'd all be dead/imprisoned if Lloyd was actually evil and allied with his dad

It's not a stretch to believe that majority of Ninjago wouldn't give a damn if he was the green ninja, because it's still Lloyd Garmadon, who they've hated for 16 years, far more and far longer than they've loved the green ninja. I think it's reasonable to assume most of them wouldn't readily drop their hatred and bullying because of a speech. They wouldn't want to admit they've spent their whole lives believing something that's completely wrong, so they'd likely find ways to twist it, as many people do these days when faced with evidence that disproves their ideas

Idk if that makes sense, but like- I think it would be a rather interesting idea to explore (might be writing a fic about it at some point lmao)

Hey uh... the prefix ‘proso’ refers specifically to the face. It’s the ‘agnosia’ part that refers to the lack of recognition, not the proso part. Just thought I’d say. A better word for it might be ‘genderagnosia,’ or something along those lines. It would definitely fit the definition of the identity better.

Prosogender

Prosogender

A label for when you are unable to recognise your gender(s). You may or may not be able to recognise other people’s genders, and you may or may not be able to recognise certain parts of your gender(s). This label functions as both a standalone gender and a placeholder. Based off the neurodivergent condition of Prosopagnosia, a.k.a face blindness (though this gender is not limited to those with Prosopagnosia).

[Image Description: a pride flag. It is rectangular and has five stripes. The second and fourth stripes are divided into five squares of equal size. In order, on both stripes, they are light pink, light purple, light pink, light purple, and pink. The first and fifth stripe have a purple square in each corner, a slightly darker shade of purple than the squares in the second and fourth stripe. The middle section of the stripes are a lavender shade. The third stripe has a white square in the middle of the flag, and the surrounding area of the stripe is the same lavender as the colour in the first and fifth stripes. End Image Description]

You get it!!

I don't think she's transphobic at all, she's just coping in the way some kids do - anything that makes them feel weird in some way, such as loss or change, they push back against and end up being kinda nasty

Brits who used to watch Horrid Henry! Didn’t his grandma call him Henrietta? If that’s true then could that mean Henry’s trans?

A 6 panel comic in a simple style. In the first panel, a character with the AO3 logo as their face asks "What's the safeword?". In the second panel, a character answers easily with the picture of the AO3 adult content warning and the browser back button. In the third panel, AO3 asks "Good! What do you say to get more of the same?". In the fourth panel, the character answer more shily with the start of a blush with the Kudos and Comment button. In the fifth panel, AO3 pats the character on the head as they are kneeling. They both look pleased, and AOR says "Good reader..." In the sixth panel, AO3 lifts the character's head by their chin and asks "Now, tell me what you want...". The character has overblown pupils and red cheeks. Behind them is the filter system of AO3.

No shame in using the safeword (quitting a fic that doesnt do it)

If you’re an adult, do the stuff you couldn’t as a kid.

Like, me and my sister went to a museum, and they had an extra exhibit of butterflies. But it cost £3. So we sighed, walked past, then stopped. We each had £3. We could see the butterflies. And we did it was great. We followed it up with an ice-cream as well because Mum and Dad weren’t there to say no.

I was driving back from a work trip with 2 other people in their early 20s, and we drove past a MacDonalds. One of the others went “Aww man, I’d love a McFlurry.” And the guy driving pulled in to the drive through. It was wild. But it was great.

I went to a park over the weekend and I was thinking “Man, I’d love to hire one of those bikes and cycle round the park.” It took me a few minutes to go “Wait, I can hire one of those bikes!”

I guess what I’m saying is, those impulsive things you wanted to do as a kid - see the dinosaur exhibit, play in the fountains with the other kids, lie in the shade for 2 hours - you can do when you’re an adult. You have to deal with a whole lot of other bull, but at least you can indulge your inner 8 year-old.

The Perfect Explanation of Privilege – In One Powerful Punchline

“The Pencilsword” is a comic strip by Toby Morris, an illustrator from New Zealand. His most recent comic, “On a Plate” hits hard at the heart of the issues of concerning wealth and privilege.

How many times have you heard the “I’ve never been handed anything on a platter” argument in regard to social security and other social benefits?

Toby wrecks this argument by showing how two children can grow up, be loved and supported, and yet still have two very different outcomes.

Make sure to follow all the way to the end for the powerful punchline. This comic is an increasingly sad reality for far too many of this nation’s children and families.

Studies show that babies are not afraid of snakes

Scientists launched reptiles into the nursery to assess the reaction of the kids. The result killed: the crumbs perceived the reptiles as toys, and some tried to eat them
