imagine if NWHS actually hinted at ford being about to kill bill cipher.
like, we see this silhouette in the nightmare realm aiming a massive gun at the demon, see bill's one eye widen in the first fear he's felt in millennia, see the entire realm shaking before the figure leaps through the portal and stores his gun on his back again. then this mysterious man puts his hand on the journal and it fits
imagine how hype that would have been.
choosing to believe that rapunzel didn’t check on varian because she got hit by the Bad Writing Curse that left her suspended translucently in the air for the three to five months that passed. she was just ghostly and floating in a comatose state with the words BAD WRITING CURSE printed in times new roman font down the length of her body. and then the three to five months were up and she was suddenly rejuvenated. and nobody else checked on him because they were all so worried about her. and then varian learns of the curse and asks “is that what made me make the ‘sweep you off your feet’ joke?” and everybody says some variation of “no, that was just you being a cringey teenager.” and he goes “dang it” and kicks one of his prison bars.
idk, chris sonnenburg. if you didn’t want your character to be adored by the fans, maybe don’t make him such a little goob.
look at ‘im.
also, maybe don’t make him one of the most compassionate people in the show who only wanted to make positive change for the people he cherished— *i am dragged off of my soapbox*
I can be shaped by more than the things that hurt me
something something hugo letting his hair down and allowing his vision to be partially obscured, trusting others to keep watch, not being on guard, letting himself rest for once
something something varian revealing what he’s kept hidden and protected despite the risk of being hurt in the process, and he ends up being held
i don't know if you've gotten an ask like this before but i just love hugo so much. do you have any headcanons for him that you must share with the public (TELL ME TELL ME NOW I BEG)
Yayyy Hugo headcanon time!!
He’s a bottle blonde, whether it’s cuz his natural hair is brunette or another shade of blonde
Hugo cannot swim at all. Like, my guy was PANICKING during the water trial
He sees Donnie as his mother
Doesn’t like sweet things because he doesn’t have a sugar tolerance after spending so much of his life in poverty (got this from the silent opera)
Unlabeled in terms of sexuality. I feel like he either wouldn’t care or wouldn’t have time to figure out a label for himself and settles for “I’m attracted to the person, not the gender”
Him wearing his hair down around the others is some kind of metaphor for letting his guard down (will die on this hill)
Knew about Varian being the Alchemist before Varian told everyone
This ^^ being said, he also freaked out once he found out/realized because he idolized the Alchemist the way Varian did Flynn Ryder
Sees Nuru as his sister (I LOVE THEIR FRIENDSHIP)
Nuru is his maid of honor at his and Varian’s wedding
Yong is his best man ^^
Dropped a piano on Eugene’s head when they were on a thieving job years ago 😼
Born to wear his heart on his sleeve, forced to keep it locked away. He’s such a lover boy at heart
Almost left Corona after the trials were over because he thought it would be “better for everyone” but Varian convinced him to stay
Took him years to get used to living in the castle
Forged his and Varian’s wedding rings because I think it’s the sweetest thing ever (got this from dasketcherz)
Tells Yong stories until he falls asleep (at first he did it to brag about his adventures as a thief, but he grew to genuinely enjoy it)
Constantly incorporating magic into his engineering
There’s a lot more but these are just what I could think of on the spot 🫡
Thank you for the ask <333
ADD is quite the mental illness to have, because you could simply get into gravity falls as a show. you could merely watch the episodes and have a favorite character.
or you could be consumed by it to the extent that you map out 24 years of ford’s portal adventures, arrange those 24 years into 74 planned-out chapters of a fanfic, and get to work.
go on
Do you guys think that Hugo is actually blonde but light blonde is just not his natural shade? That he made his hair lighter to— …Nevermind.
WAIT DOES STAN HAVE A WIFE??
tangled the series fandom please tell me im not the only one who saw stan and pete and thought "oh yeah they smooched"
“Some years ago, I was stuck on a crosstown bus in New York City during rush hour. Traffic was barely moving. The bus was filled with cold, tired people who were deeply irritated—with one another; with the rainy, sleety weather; with the world itself. Two men barked at each other about a shove that might or might not have been intentional. A pregnant woman got on, and nobody offered her a seat. Rage was in the air; no mercy would be found here.
But as the bus approached Seventh Avenue, the driver got on the intercom. “Folks,” he said, “I know you’ve had a rough day and you’re frustrated. I can’t do anything about the weather or traffic, but here’s what I can do. As each one of you gets off the bus, I will reach out my hand to you. As you walk by, drop your troubles into the palm of my hand, okay? Don’t take your problems home to your families tonight—just leave ‘em with me. My route goes right by the Hudson River, and when I drive by there later, I’ll open the window and throw your troubles in the water. Sound good?”
It was as if a spell had lifted. Everyone burst out laughing. Faces gleamed with surprised delight. People who’d been pretending for the past hour not to notice each other’s existence were suddenly grinning at each other like, is this guy serious?
Oh, he was serious.
At the next stop—just as promised—the driver reached out his hand, palm up, and waited. One by one, all the exiting commuters placed their hand just above his and mimed the gesture of dropping something into his palm. Some people laughed as they did this, some teared up—but everyone did it. The driver repeated the same lovely ritual at the next stop, too. And the next. All the way to the river.
We live in a hard world, my friends. Sometimes it’s extra difficult to be a human being. Sometimes you have a bad day. Sometimes you have a bad day that lasts for several years. You struggle and fail. You lose jobs, money, friends, faith, and love. You witness horrible events unfolding in the news, and you become fearful and withdrawn. There are times when everything seems cloaked in darkness. You long for the light but don’t know where to find it.
But what if you are the light? What if you’re the very agent of illumination that a dark situation begs for?
That’s what this bus driver taught me—that anyone can be the light, at any moment. This guy wasn’t some big power player. He wasn’t a spiritual leader. He wasn’t some media-savvy “influencer.” He was a bus driver—one of society’s most invisible workers. But he possessed real power, and he used it beautifully for our benefit.
When life feels especially grim, or when I feel particularly powerless in the face of the world’s troubles, I think of this man and ask myself, What can I do, right now, to be the light? Of course, I can’t personally end all wars, or solve global warming, or transform vexing people into entirely different creatures. I definitely can’t control traffic. But I do have some influence on everyone I brush up against, even if we never speak or learn each other’s name. How we behave matters because within human society everything is contagious—sadness and anger, yes, but also patience and generosity. Which means we all have more influence than we realize.
No matter who you are, or where you are, or how mundane or tough your situation may seem, I believe you can illuminate your world. In fact, I believe this is the only way the world will ever be illuminated—one bright act of grace at a time, all the way to the river.“
