Do you ever listen to a song while reading a book and as you go through the book people die and people survive and things are different then how things started and now you have finished the book but every time you hear that song you mourn a little for the book and those fictional people that died and think about how it has changed you?
Hey yall I hope yall are in good spirits! If you know me you know I have been experiencing housing insecurity since i moved out of my transphobic & abusive families house in September 2019 after my older brother punched me in the face because I didnt have time to take the trash out. My cousin (@ttstar on IG) decided to join forces in finding safe & affordable housing due to her being in an abusive situation where her ex boyfriends mother. She was calling the police on us for our religious practices, putting her hands on her for praying in the kitchen & threatening to break her 8 year old son, Messiah’s, fingers for eating an ice cream sandwich. We could really use any & all assistance trying to find an affordable, safe & positive home to raise this sweet child & keep ourselves out of harms way. please please please consider donating! even $5 goes a long way!

I love it when you are supposed to be feeling better but instead just feel stupid and unlovable and like everything you do is terrible 👍🏻
Never forget that Violet Parr literally leapt across the dinner table to tackle her brother, who was throwing shade, in order to shut him up. Iconic.

A student once asked anthropologist Margaret Mead, “What is the earliest sign of civilization?” The student expected her to say a clay pot, a grinding stone, or maybe a weapon. Margaret Mead thought for a moment, then she said, “A healed femur.” A femur is the longest bone in the body, linking hip to knee. In societies without the benefits of modern medicine, it takes about six weeks of rest for a fractured femur to heal. A healed femur shows that someone cared for the injured person, did their hunting and gathering, stayed with them, and offered physical protection and human companionship until the injury could mend. Mead explained that where the law of the jungle—the survival of the fittest—rules, no healed femurs are found. The first sign of civilization is compassion, seen in a healed femur.
