English Translation of Novel 2: Chapter 2 – At the Center of the Golds

Here’s another translation from the second novel, the Order of Knights Book. This one features the Experience Enrollment where Asta joins the Golden Dawn for the day, so there’s a lot of Asta, Klaus, and Mimosa in this chapter! This takes place the day before the Black Bulls leave for the beach town of Raque in order to go to the Seabed Temple.

Within the Order of the Magic Knights, an army of mages under the direct supervision of the Wizard King, there is one squad known as the Golden Dawn. In the rivalry between Magic Knight squads, the Golden Dawn consistently shows the highest achievements. Thus, they are known by all to be the most powerful squad. Its members, of course, consist only of the most elite nobles and royals. Indeed, with half-baked magic power, one could not hope to be selected into this gathering of the chosen elite.

Random thought #4: 

Consider this: Nozel challenges Fuegoleon. The Vermillion agrees under the condition that should Nozel lose, he would cook for all the magic knights. He knows he’ll win the challenge, and finds the idea of Nozel wearing a flowery pink apron whilst standing over a pan looking completely clueless very amusing. As do all the other captains. 

Naturally, Nozel loses, but it also turns out he’s a Noelle level terrible cook. Yami’s reaction to tasting the… unedible pile of something or other… is rather loud and dramatic. Fuegoleon regrets having Nozel cook, as Rill is sort of puking his guts out right now. William tries - and fails - to appear as though  he is enjoying the meal as he forces down every last bit and tries to hide the desire to throw up. Dorothy made the smart decision and slept through dinner. Kaiser feeds his food to a dog when Nozel isn’t looking. The dog winds up shitting himself (literally)- poor dog. Julius also tries to lie but is even less successful than William. Jack picks at his food, repulsed by it form the moment he smelt the thing. Charlotte turns green on the first bite and excuses herself from the table. She doesn’t come back. Partly because she is mortified by the idea that Yami might have seen her looking sickly. And partly because she winds up bed ridden the next day, her stomach seriously damaged by Nozel’s food. Mereleona very bluntly states that “this isn’t food but literal hot garbage that I wouldn’t feed to a starving boar, never mind a human”, hurting Nozel’s feelings so bad that Fuegoleon takes pity on him. 

A few days later, Fuegoleon drags a reluctant Nozel and a similarly reluctant Noelle into the kitchen and teaches them how to actually cook. It’s the first time the two actually taste their foods, follow recipes and season their dishes and keep track of time - so as to not over or undercook anything -, and thus also the first time the two manage to cook up something edible. It doubles as a bonding exercise between the youngest and oldest Silva child, and when they realise this, they are not happy with Fuegoleon for forcing this upon them. 

How does Fuegoleon know how to cook? 

Don’t ask. 

The Vermillion manor cooks aren’t willing to go through the details of the troubles they went through to teach this man to cook back in the day… 

Oh, and on a side note, both Silvas look adorable in a cook’s attire. Though you might not want to tell that to Nozel. 

So real I had the BEST movie ever experience with A Minecraft Movie

there was a technoblade reference of a pig wearing a crown

there was a LOT of romantic tension between jason momoa and jack black. no really. like there will be fics. and i will be reading them.

jack black sung a couple songs. they were decent

a plan involved jason momoa and jack black wearing mushroom hats and playing trumpet in front of a group of evokers to distract them.

endermen don't just attack you, they make you hallucinate the people you love saying they hate you. and then they attack you

there was a weird america's got talent reference ? nether's got talent ? and it was the backstory for the main villain ?? (they played pigstep)

"first we mine, then we craft. now let's minecraft!" was actually a line. they said that out loud.

a piglin named chungus said he was gonna unalive the main characters.

jennifer coolidge did date a villager it was like 3 total scenes and largely ignored

in the post credits scene the end the villager spoke in perfect british english and it was revealed jennifer coolidge could speak villager then they got married

i think seeing it in theaters is the best thing you can do because the audience was hilarious i have so many videos of everyone applauding and laughing and commenting on stuff. anyways i know technically it sucks but whatever i had a good time

Please do headcanons for Henry being friends and bonding with everyone because this is what he deserves!

Happy Henry

As one of the Black Bull’s newest yet oldest member, Henry knows a lot about his squad mates, yet very little is known about Henry. Everyone, minus Asta and Yami, know him as their “resident ghost” who came to save them in their time of need. So as a way to welcome him to the squad, each member tries to bond with him.

Asta - He’s all ready known Henry for a while, but now that Henry is healthy enough to do things on his own, both Henry and Asta work on cleaning the base together. It’s not something one would typically think of as fun, but Henry just likes being included and helpful to Asta, because Asta always made sure he had a clean room and company.

Gray - She’s so nervous about making a new friend. But she’s going to try her hardest to open up to Henry and welcome him to the group. She knows the ache of not having a welcoming home, but the Black Bulls accepted her and have helped her. So she’s going to make sure he knows he’s welcomed here. She tries to bring him small gifts from her missions, but she’s so nervous to give them to him that she usually just leaves them in his room, or runs away as soon as she hands the souvenir off.

Charmy - She’s so excited to have someone else to share all the yummys with! She cried when she found out Henry didn’t get to experience a lot of different types of food when he was growing up. So every day she makes him a banquet with different types of food from around the kingdom so he can experience culture through his stomach!

Zora - He’s just another member of the squad right? That’s what Zora keeps telling himself, but he knows he should try to be more “welcoming” to his squad (it’s what his father would want). So when he has enough energy to be closer to Henry, Zora likes to slip him some new “layout” ideas for the base. He claims its for squad safety but in reality he just wants to optimize his pranks.

Vanessa - She’s so relieved to find out the base wasn’t haunted, it was just Henry. As being confined to a cage her entire childhood, she knows just how hard Henry’s had it. So she likes to take it upon herself to try and cut his hair (turns into a trim mostly to get the bird nests out). She’s also bought him numerous outfits to try on. Some are relatively sane while others are more similar to Vanessa’s style. Henry tries them all but doesn’t really have an opinion on any of them.

Noelle - She enjoys all the small critters that flock to Henry. She often likes to hear Henry tell stories of each of the birds peaking out of his hair. She’ll also come visit him in his room when Asta is there cleaning too.

Finral - He’s so happy to know Henry’s the reason behind the base changing. He begs Henry to help make the bathroom closer to Yami at all times, so he doesn’t have to continuously make portals. However Yami nearly killed Finral when he found out “his ride” was trying to shrink his duties.

Luck - He get’s sad when Henry retires to bed for a nap. After all, Henry is a new sparing member. Henry may not be into sparing, but he does transform the base into a giant mecha for Luck to battle against, but only when Yami isn’t there to yell at them. 

Gauche - He doesn’t like the fact that there’s another person who may ruin his shrine to his little sister. But Henry is the only one willing to listen to Gauche talk about Marie, so he guesses Henry isn’t too bad to be around. Gauche will even show Henry Marie’s picture for about 3 seconds. He also yells at encourages Henry to pick up his speech pace. He doesn’t have all day. Gauche also hit’s Henry up every morning as to where the bathroom is for the day.

Magna - Magna thinks Henry is so cool! Not many people can transform the base into a rockin’ bull! He likes it when Henry watches him at batting practice or works on his broom. Magna will ask him if the new swing he’s developed looks cool or not, and what to name it. Henry is so good at listening, that some times, when they’re just alone Magna will tell Henry his worries because a real man doesn’t keep it bottled up.

Gordon - Yay! Another friend! Gordon doesn’t waste time making a Henry doll. Gordon even makes Henry his own set of Black Bull dolls to have to cuddle when he’s taking a nap. Henry loved the gift so much that he started to give Gordon supplies for said dolls from all the little trinkets his birds brought him.

Nero - She’s known about Henry for a long time. She didn’t have much to do as a bird. He would share his bread with her back then. Now as a human, she wants to do something to help him. So she’s been going through old notes in the Royal library to see if she any of the magical items she helped make could allow Henry more freedom or to experience the outside world more. She hasn’t found anything yet, but she won’t give up. 

Grey: [holding a wig head]

Gauche: You killed someone?!

Grey: WHAT?!

Gauche: I knew you get embarrassed when someone look at you, but I didn’t think you’d take it this far. I mean, I don’t blame you. Who among us hasn’t considered murder as a form of settling a dispute. I mean, I certainly have.

Gauche, rolling up his sleeves: Where’s the body. I’ll help you get rid of it.

Grey: 

Grey: OHMYGOD GAUCHE THIS IS JUST A WIG HEAD.

Leopold: As royal blood, I don't believe senseless violence is how my family ancestors would want me to solve things.

I know going “I love how they don’t make a big deal of it and it’s so natural” then going and making a big deal about it doesn’t make sense but THIS IS EXACTLY THE KIND OF STUFF I HOPED FOR FOR YEARS?? HELLO?? It’s written INTO their characters like it’s amazing

Senku, Stanley, Xeno, Ryusui, Francois , and Gen are the most like obvious.

Senku is clearly not heterosexual. I’m sorry no way a heterosexual man shows that much disgust when a girl confesses to him. I’m not saying he’s gay even if I HC him as such but at the very least he’s on the aromantic or asexual spectrum. I personally think if he wasn’t aroace he would be gay. Ik it’s probably a coping mechanism but it’s also funny to watch Senku flirt with guys whenever he’s terrified and or they’re abt to kill him

Stanley and Xenos relationship makes me want to drop to my knees and wail. So so beautiful. Xenos obviously a bad person but I love how they show his soft side for Stanley the way he looks at him when he’s a statue when he gives him little fake cigarettes it’s so elegant. Drst writes characters who are considered bad people to have soft sides like Xeno and also make the protagonists people who aren’t really saints at all, making them feel more human. Stanley is clearly in love with Xeno which is why he gets so damn peeved when he gets kidnapped and there’s no hetero explanation for the scene where Stanley gets revived again. And I love how they made Stanley the most masculine man who literally served in the military gay and wear makeup. Literally. Hes not afraid to wear lipstick like YES I ADORE IT. Again he SERVED IN THE MILITARY he has like a 10 pack and is masculine as hell and he’s still such a well written homosexual character who’s comfortable in his sexuality and gender. Epitome of masculinity fr fr.

Francois is enby, using they/them pronouns. I love how Ryusui says gender sex race nothing matters when it comes to sheer talent, which is why the writers don’t tell much too about them. They’re just pure talent and live to serve and even though they’re a butler they’re still not robotic and stuff, same with Senku- he’s not that into romance but he’s still definitely not nonchalant at all.

Ryusui , the greediest man in the world. He desires everyONE and everyTHING. My pansexual probably polyamorous KING. He don’t care abt ur gender or whatever he wants YOU!!

Gen Asagiri, this one.. he’s definitely queer... im not saying it just because he’s the most feminine out of all the men (though I LOVE how again they made a very feminine male character and made him so well written) , but because of the clear admiration he has towards Senku. You could say it’s not romantic that’s fine - QPR sengen still peak. In my opinion he’s either gay or bisexual. He barely also shows interest in women, when he does it’s clearly for keeping up his facade. Again, he’s genuinely mesmerized by Senku and what he does. I love sengen but if we’re talking canon, they’re definitely one sided. The way I see it, no way Gen doesn’t feel anything for Senku. Also cmon.. just look at the guy.. listen to his voice… cmon. Cmon. Cmon. Cmo-

Again I’m OBSESSED with the way their sexualities are written into their characters and personalities, and how it’s shown so well.. if that makes sense.. love this show so much please if you haven’t seen Dr Stone watch it if you want a show with glorious characters, story, and rep for neurodivergent people (autism specifically with Senku and Sai) and queer people.

Rematching dr. stone and oh boy I still remember how deeply I LOVE this anime MAN I'm crying a whole river with that ep when senku learns of byakuya made the village for him aaaa

PS have not been active in the fandom since 2022 but read the manga <SPOILERS AHEAD> slightly after the new world arc when they petrify themselves except for suika
