i feel like everyone’s forgotten some Covid basics so please let me remind you:

Your mask protects others more than it protects you

You can still spread covid even if you’re vaccinated or not showing any symptoms

The more this spreads around, the more mutated variants of the virus will appear and they WILL be stronger than the original

so like maybe stop being a little bitch and endangering others because you really, really needed to go out to dinner or get fucked up at a bar instead of in your home like a respectable person

No because if Warner Bros and Wizarding World had any semblance of intelligence, they would’ve released a Marauders prequel series after Prisoner of Azkaban. The smart thing would’ve been to do a trilogy in between the middle of the Harry Potter series. We get introduced to the Marauders in Prisoner of Azkaban so then after we have one movie where we get introduced to Marauders era and we see 1/3 of their story. We see how the Marauders meet and we see their hijinks and pranks and everything else. The movie ends with the Marauders finding out Remus is a werewolf. Then Goblet of Fire comes out. And then after they release the second Marauders movie in the trilogy. In this one, we start getting the “war” feeling. As in the terror and general atmosphere of a war looming on the horizon. The rise in bigotry at Hogwarts which is where the tensions between the Marauders and Snape hits an all time high. We also see the marauders become animagi and join Remus on the full moon. In this second movie, we see the whomping willow prank and the fallout of the Marauders and then them coming together again. The movie ends with Sirius being disowned and moving in with the Potter’s and Remus eventually forgiving him. And then BOOM they release Order of the Phoenix in which we see the glimpse of Snape’s worst memory. Movie ends with Sirius’ death. And then BOOM we get the final movie in the Marauders trilogy. We’d see the context behind SWM, what happened after it, the fallout of Snape and Lily, Lily giving James as chance after he defended her, and then we see how the Marauders era characters join the order. Along with that, we’d see Snape and Regulus being death eaters along with Bellatrix and Narcissa. We’d see how the war is impacting all of them, the death of the Mckinnons, Voldemort killing Dorcas, and the reaction of the rest of the characters. The movie would end with the death of the Potter’s and we’d see how Snape and Peter are at fault for the death of them. And then we see the scene at the beginning of the Harry Potter franchise of Dumbledore and McGonagall dropping Harry off at the Dursley’s. This would all lead nicely into The Half Blood Prince because at this point, we don’t know that Snape gave the prophecy to Voldemort. Why? Because we find out in the HBP. At this point, we’d get the Marauders entire story. Then in Deathly Hallows, they just use the same actors from the trilogy for the flashbacks which would make it more personal and emotional since we’ve seen how their story ends. They should also have parallels between the Marauders and the Golden trio running around the same places and sometimes saying the same things. This would’ve done the book wayyyy more justice and given us the Marauders content back in the day when we asked for it. Shit, if they had done this back in the day, they could’ve very well used Ben Barnes, Aaron Taylor Johnson, and Andrew Garfield in the last Marauders movie as the Marauders leave Hogwarts and fight in the war. But like I said, they didn’t think too far ahead into this. The con of this is that at the time the movies were released, they never would’ve made Wolfstar a thing. Even now, a decade later that Dumbledore is “gay”, they don’t actually show it. Just slight alluding. And even if they decide to do a Marauders project now, it wouldnt work and it’d flop because:

No one wants to support JK Rowling (as they should)

The hype for the Harry Potter movies has died down SEVERELY. It would flop.

Fantastic Beasts isn’t doing well and it’s just a sign that that no one wants to support JK and any movies/shows they make are too little too late. This is something they should’ve built upon when the movies were coming out and the hype was high.

Black teens shouldn’t have to worry about being killed by cops.

LGBTQ+ teens shouldn’t have to worry about being thrown out or assaulted.

Asian teens shouldn’t have to worry about being attacked or facing xenophobia.

Latino teens shouldn’t have to worry about being told they don’t belong here or having family members deported.

Low-income teens shouldn’t have to worry about how to succeed in a world stacked against them.

Teens shouldn’t have to worry about climate change or school shootings or all the other stuff they do, and underprivileged and minority teens have even more to worry about. Let’s change the world so future generations don’t have to go through this.

STOP ASIAN VIOLENCE

As an Asian, I feel like I have the need to speak out, but there might not be a lot of people who see this. So please, if you can, reblog for me. we need to spread the information.

70.9% of 2808 reported incidents are verbal harassment

21.4% of 2080 reported incidents are shunning

8.7% are physical assault

8% are workplace discrimination or refusal of service

6.4% are coughed/spat on

and these are only REPORTED CASES (March - December 2020)

Here are some reported attacks from around May 2021

An 84-year-old Thai immigrant in San Francisco, California, died in February after being violently shoved to the ground during his morning walk

In Oakland, California, a 91-year-old senior was shoved to the pavement from behind

An 89-year-old Chinese woman was slapped and set on fire by two people in Brooklyn, New York

Two Asian American women were stabbed at a San Francisco bus stop; eyewitness reports say the assailant "casually walked away in broad daylight"

An Asian man walking with his 1-year-old child in a stroller in San Francisco was punched in the head and back multiple times

A stranger on the New York subway slashed a 61-year-old Filipino American passenger's face with a box cutter

An Asian American woman in New York City was struck in the head with a hammer by an unidentified assailant who demanded that she remove her mask

Asian American restaurant employees in New York City told the New York Times they now always go home early for fear of violence and harassment

An Asian American butcher shop owner in Sacramento, California found a dead cat - likely intended for her - left in the store's parking lot; police are investigating it as a hate crime

An Asian American family celebrating a birthday at a restaurant in Carmel, California, was berated with racist slurs by a Trump-supporting tech executive

Several Asian Americans homeowners say they've been abused with racial slurs and had rocks thrown at their houses

The only Asian American lawmaker in the Kansas legislature says he was physically threatened in a bar by a patron who accused him of carrying the coronavirus

New York police arrested a man who assaulted a woman during a protest against anti-Asian racism

A grieving family received a hateful letter on the day of their father's funeral, telling them to "pack your bags and go back to your country where you belong"

A school board candidate of Vietnamese descent in Portland, Oregon, found a note with the words "Kung Flu" on her doorstep

A medical worker of Filipino descent in Los Gatos, California was shoved to the ground from behind by an assailant who told her to "go back to [expletive] China"

A Thai woman was brutally beaten and robbed of her phone while commuting on a train in San Francisco

These incidents are best explained by the "widespread omission" of Asian Americans within cultural conversations, according to Amanda Nguyen, an activist, and the founder of the Rise civil rights not-for-profit organization.

Of the 832 incidents reported in California, many included anti-Asian slurs and references to China and the coronavirus. One assailant yelled about "bringing that Chinese virus over here" during an attack against an Asian-American man at a San Francisco hardware store on May 6. The assailant reportedly also said "Go back to China," "F*ck you, Chinaman" and "F*ck you, you monkey." In Santa Clara on June 16, a man kicked a woman's dog and then spat at her, saying, "Take your disease that's ruining our country and go home."

Asian American families shouldn't be worrying about returning back to school, buying groceries, working, and so on, in their country. They shouldn't be worrying about their family going on a morning walk and not coming back.

"These are real people just living their lives and encountering this kind of hate,"

Yes, black lives STILL matter. Yes, LGBTQ+'s rights still matter. But I feel like we are overlooking the Asian Hate.

BLM, LGBTQ+, Asian Hate, women's rights, and more. They're NOT a trend, and I DESPISE those people who see these as a trend to get more fame. We are all in this together, there's no race in this pandemic. The virus isn't racist, you won't get the virus BECAUSE you are white, you won't get the virus BECAUSE you are black. Skin colors do NOT matter to the virus, so why should they matter to us? If we want to end this pandemic, we need to fight TOGETHER.

Thank you for spending your time reading this. Please, if you can, reblog.
