It all makes sense now

Four paneled comic page.

1. An above shot of a dying campfire. Young Trafalgar Law sits on one side, awake, while Cora-san sleeps bundled up in his feather coat on the other side, snoring.

2. Law is gazing across the fire at Cora-san with a guarded expression. He's bundled in a blanket.

3. A shot of Cora's shoes, the bottoms showing in his sleeping position with something strange on the heels.

4. Law leans in a little, confused at what is on the bottom of Cora's shoes.

1. Law has moved closer to Cora's sleeping form, making sure that he's still asleep before proceeding.

2. Law now looks closer at the bottom of Cora's shoes with something strange in the heels of said boots.

1. Law has reached out to one of Cora's shoes to touch whatever is on the heel.

2. Law flicks the strange thing, revealing it to be a wheel when it spins.

3. Law now looks confused and exasperated at realizing that Cora is wearing Heelys, and possibly has been this entire time as he thinks back on all of the times Cora has fallen over/tripped/ate shit.

Three paneled comic page.

1. Trafalgar Law walks straight ahead with hands in his coat pockets.

2. Law glances over, hearing whispering from an alleyway.
"No, that's for sure a pirate- I've seen the poster in the bar!"
"Yeah, I know, my brother's a marine, dummy!"
"HEY!"
"YUBA, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

3. POV over Law's shoulder as he looks to a small kid that has stepped out from the alleyway, looking at him with a determined expression. Another kid calls out to the boy, scream-whispering, "Yuba!"

1. The young boy named "Yuba" addresses Law bravely.
"You're the Heart Stealer Pirate, right?!"
We can see the other kids hiding in the alleyway, all of them thinking at once, "He's nuts!"

2. Law looks down at Yuba, his face partially hidden by the collar of his long coat.
Law: "And if I am?"

3. Yuba looks up at Law while standing in his shadow. Yuba looks nervous and gulps.
Law: "Are you gonna go and tattle on me to the Navy?"

Law's smirk has fallen, and he now looks surprised at Yuba's answer. Around him, flutter black feathers and snowflakes.

2. Law continues to walk, unaware that Cora-san's ghost now hovers behind him, having Law in an embrace and resting his face against Law's hat. His eyes are closed, and he's smiling.

One day, it'll click for Luffy that Shanks and Buggy were the Sanji and Zoro of Gol D. Roger's crew

I though luffy saying not buggy wasn’t good sign for shuggy? I saw people saying it means he hates buggy so much and that buggy wasn’t important anymore so oda put this line there 🥲

Nah, that's not how I interpret it. I'm pretty sure Oda was being cheeky and being ironic. Because Luffy isn't aware that Shanks & Buggy use to be thick as thieves in their childhood. Even now Shanks only looks back on it fondly. So it's funny because Luffy has only ever heard Buggy talk crap about his hero so that makes Luffy mistakenly undermine their relationship.

I'm like 80-90% sure if he asked Gaban he would tell Luffy something like " yeah no. They were always fighting, but pretty close." and it would blow Luffy's mind because....Buggy!?!? The he'd probably pout a bit because he thinks Buggy sucks lmao.

It's like when Oden said he wasn't sure if they were friends or enemies. Shuggy is a very unlikely friendship canonically lmao & Oda likes to poke fun at it.
