Okay something I never figured out about Civil War is why Peter is on Tony's side beyond manipulation.

Tony very much manipulates Peter, despite Peter being excited to go. He does insist that he Can't travel to Germany, and the big change in opinion is when Tony threatens to tell Aunt May, to which Peter visibly reacts with a sort of desperation. I'm not saying he isn't excited when he's actually there, what with filming a video diary, but the fact remains that he's WAY out of his own depth.

But the thing is... Peter is like, technically a mutant right?

Under the rules of the Accords, his status as a mutant would HAVE to be disclosed, publicly. So, if his side is successful, he would be legally required to register his identity and ability. Or maybe Tony would have to.

It's also super messed up that at the end of Homecoming, Tony arranges a press conference when Aunt May STILL doesn't know Peter's identity.

I know Anakin's desilusions of grandiosity are the talk of the town, but something something Padmé dehumanization of herself as a result of so much survivor trauma and so many close death calls. She's the senator with the highest murder attempts on her, she gets assesination attempts weekly and brushes them off, and she keeps chasing for justice to the point of collition, she sees people dying around her all the time but she keeps on living and living, at some point she's flirting with death as much as Anakin does in the battlefield. So, according to the background lore, while growing up on Kamino, if the clones had any bouts of anger or frustration, they were put into the "retraining tank" which was essentially isolation. And at some point, this just kinda manifests in the clones in not being able to express their negative feelings properly, and either pushing them down or dealing with them by isolating themselves, because those two things are the only things they know how to do that somewhat work.

The Jedi help with this, of course. They teach their men how to meditate, how to express themselves, how to deal with their negative feelings and also let them go and not let them fester, and how the clones adopt this part of their conduct as well.
