Maybe the The Pursuit of Diarmuid and Grainne? After all, it has love spells, chases, shapeshifting, boars, criminal shenanigans, and a hurling match! Also Finn and his insecure boomer ego though.

I did not like the official Inktober 2023 prompt list much, so I made my own one based on Irish mythology, for fellow Celticists and otherwise enjoyers. Everyone is welcome to share and join!

The background is designed after a gold lunula found in Killarney (~2000 BC).

I often feel overwhelmed by Late Medieval - Early Modern finds in Irish and Scandinavian museums, much more so than by known human sacrifices, etc. All those knitted caps, mittens, warm cloaks - just regular garments of some person who was walking somewhere from somewhere and reasonably hoped to get there. Just can't shake the thought of some part of them still out there; still walking.

It's only a wip but yes, what we have here is two Tuatha Dé Danann kissing, one of whom is a bog body.

Everyone in this pic is fully sentient, consenting, and of proper adult age at the moment / when sacrificed, just in case. I have a weird idea of belated Beltane romance but it is what it is.
