no because drink is great because dream has this constant worry of his powers constantly influencing the people around him, whether unintentionally changing their feelings to be better around him or because people want to take advantage of his magic, yet ink remains unchanged because of his lack of soul

is it pretend? yeah! but to dream, ink is willingly sticking by him despite dream not doing anything for him. maybe they don't meet often and dream isn't ink's #1 priority and maybe ink isn't dream's, but it's always nice to have someone you trust to appreciate you for who you are and what you have
