in honor of the halloween event, maybe smth based on it? I was thinking along the lines of some students trying to scare the others to see their reactions (with varying degrees of success). who would be very easily scared and who wouldn't? who'd try to get a reaction out of who? how would they go about it?

Riddle and Floyd being partnered up to do some project. chaos ensues.

there's a lost cat on campus that just so happens to find it's way to Idia's room. he's delighted and having a field day with this.

The Heartslabyul Coven has one of the strongest relationships with humans to date. This is because of the strict rules the members have to follow, which dictate the hours of the day they can feed, times of the month they can feed and how often, all the way down to how they should dress and otherwise present themselves both in the human and vampire realm. Members of the Heatslabyul Coven are talented magic users all around, though there is a noticeable amount of healers that originate from this coven. However, there is great variety in the specialized magic each vampire pursues. They usually live in civilized and highly populated areas, though not typically  in massive, bustling cities (are suburban vampires a thing?) 

They can feed on humans, but it must be consensual and can only be done a certain number of times in a year / decade / century / however they measure time. It also has to be done in a specific way to ensure the safety of the human. Most humans turned by the Heartslabyul Coven were either done consensually or on a young vampire’s first feeding. Many Heatslabyul Coven members have close human friends that allow them to feed whenever they need to, as the allotted chances are just barely enough to get by. This Coven isn’t seen as a family, but there is an expected responsibility towards the coven and very few leave without being lured back. 

These vampires make the easiest friends, but sometimes it’s hard to tell if they like you or the freedom you give them when you allow them to feed on you in a pinch…

Loved your take on him smelling like smoke and I completely agree! I have no idea how his hair works, physics wise his hair would be burning at atleast 2,500 degrees F if not up to 3000 degrees F so by all means simply brushing past him would leave you with atleast a slight burn if not worse, yet we see him tie it up in a ponytail and braid it. Also just a little silly fact since his hair canonically turns red when he’s angry that would mean his hair becomes a colder temperature when he’s angered than it is when he’s completely fine (p.s I love Idia thank you for talking about him with me!!) -🦭

RIGHT? but I don't think it burns at all, not himself nor other people, since no one has ever mentioned it? Idia is insecure about his hair, yes, but not because it's dangerous and has hurt people before, but because it's different and people might look at him weird. and just like you said anon, simply by brushing past him it would be able to leave a burn mark on someone!! which has never happened at all!!

maybe it has something to do with his curse? I don't know much about his backstory yet, though I'm pretty sure he's not fae or a demigod, but a human like most students, the only difference is that his family carries a curse that causes his hair to be in flames, his teeth pointy and his lips blue. I'm pretty sure that's it? there must be some reason (something involving the underworld?), but I haven't read chapter 6 so I'm not aware of it yet.

this curse might mean his hair is not actually on flames, but these are more like a symbolical fire? it imitates real fire, but acts just like hair (with a few exceptions at the tips that end up floating and giving it a fiery effect). that might be why he's able to touch it and mold it into different hairstyles.

it would also explain this emotional fact! like you said, his hair turns colder when he's angry, which wouldn't make much sense if you consider that there's a tendency of your blood rushing and making you run hotter when feeling strong emotions, particularly one as strong as anger. if you consider the color theory of it, though, it makes more sense: Idia is usually chill and calm, even melancholic, so blue fits his natural state. red is associated with negative fiery emotions, such as anger. pink is a soft color that brings to mind love, so when he's flustered it might burn pink. so on and so forth. it's very cute how you can tell his emotional state by his hair!

Idia is so interesting (and relatable at some points), I totally understand why he'd be one of your favorites, anon! I really enjoy talking about him with you, as you bring up so many good points I wouldn't have thought about!! I can't wait until chapter 6 comes to the english server so I can see more of him!

GIVING ,,, receiving acts of service and gifts from azul

ACTS OF SERVICE WITH AZUL ASHENGROTTO—Azul loves helping you however he can, no strings attached. He likes feeling wanted and impressing you with how much he can do for you because of his strengths. He prides himself on his skills, skills that took late nights of stress and hard work to learn, but skills that he can use to make you smile. You rarely ever see him abstain from the chance to help you and often encourages you to ask for his services, whether it be for studying or advice on a project you're working on. It always brings him great joy to hear your thanks after he assists you. Sometimes, he services you without you even asking. A passing comment about how you were struggling on a test or class subject will scribe itself in his mind and the moment he’d get the chance he’d make you an easy to understand study guide. If there was a time where you complained about a project you’d be up late working on, he’d stay up to help you with it.

You yawned, stretching your arms up into the air. “ Goodness Azul,” you said, picking your head up to look at him. He looked tired too, darkness beneath his eyes, clothes disheveled, but he still seemed determined on helping you with the paper boards that you were to present in the morning. “ Are you sure about helping me? It’s late and you're busy with that event at the lounge, right?”

Azul held his hand out to you, signaling you to hand him the glue gun. He whispered a thank you when you handed it to him, “ If I help you right now you’ll be able to spend extra time at the lounge tomorrow.” he said. A sigh escaped his lips and he tugged at his uniform’s collar and loosened the tie so that it would comfortably rest away from his neck. Floyd and Jade had poked fun at him for his dedication to helping you, but he didn’t mind. If you asked him to make you a dazzling crown with stars, he would have.

A smile crawled its way onto your face, “ I guess you’re right about that.” You began to cut the cardstock into the shapes you needed. Without looking up at Azul, you spoke, “ Even if this is exhausting, I think it’s kind of nice getting to stay up with you like this.” There was a blush on your cheeks, but one that you welcomed.

He prayed that you didn’t see his hand tremble slightly from your words. “ It is nice.” A smile remained on his face throughout that night, even when you both were resting against each other, arms curled around each other lovingly.

GIVING GIFTS WITH AZUL ASHENGROTTO—Every once in a while Azul will show up with a gift for you, wrapped just perfectly, with a shiny bow atop it. The contents vary, usually being things for you to pursue your hobbies or accessories that he thought would look lovely on you. Those types of gifts were somewhat rare, usually gifted on dates, but the gifts that weren’t rare were the ones that you thought counted the most. Azul often gives you snacks in between classes. Sometimes when you guys would pass each other in the halls, he’d notice your fatigue. As he scolds you for not taking care of yourself, he’d slip a little snack in your bag, or hand you an energy drink. Patrons at Mostro Lounge see you a lot, always getting free drinks with little notes accompanying them. They didn’t see that the notes were confessions of love or simple apologies for not having enough time to spend with you. Those were the gifts from Azul that most mattered.

The lounge was somewhat quiet, the chatting of a few different tables occasionally echoed their ways to you, bouncing off the aquarium and the tables. The coral and sea creatures probably heard the chatter, talking amongst themselves about gossip and folktales. You sat alone, enthralled by their movements, like they were waltzing in the water. “ Azul says he’s sorry for not being able to hang out with you.” When you turned your head, you saw Floyd standing over you, a tray with your favorite drink and a blue envelope in his hand. You laughed, “ Oh, he knows he doesn’t need to worry about those sorts of things.” Floyd scrunched his nose at your lovestruck sight at the mention of his boss. He had seen the same look and heard similar tones from Azul whenever he referred to you. Heart completely full and eyes tinted in the colors of Aphrodite. It grossed Floyd. “ Ugh, here’s your drink and love letter.” he placed them on the table walking away with his shoulders slumped slightly. With gentle movements, you opened the letter, eyes softened at the neatly written words.

‘I’m sorry. I promise to make it up to you.’ ‘Love, Azul’

RECEIVING ,,, giving azul acts of service and quality time

ACTS OF SERVICE FROM YOU—You were often helpful, sometimes because you had to be, and other times because you wanted to be. Azul loved when you were helpful, even if he often chided you for carrying too much on your plate. However, he wouldn’t lie about how he seemed to love the way you looked, laughing with Floyd, as you helped cleanup Mostro Lounge at the end of the night. Your heart was warm and generous, and even though he didn’t want to take too much, your warm heart would pull him closer and closer, and soon enough he’d see you helping at Mostro Lounge a lot more. He loved when you were in his office, rearranging the pillows or organizing the paper’s on his desk. And whenever you brought him sliced fruit while he worked, he felt as if his heart was walking on clouds. After a while he learned to not tell you not to stop since it would be a senseless conversation since whatever your warm heart wanted to do, it would.

You guys had a method. You’d rinse the soapy cups while he dried and put them away. It was quiet in the Mostro Lounge, mostly since it was closing time and Floyd and Jade had already retreated to their rooms to rest. The last bit of work for the night was just the cups and when Azul told you he’d be up a bit later to deal with them, you rushed over to the lounge to help him.

He was humming the tune that played in the background, voice softer than cotton and sweeter than sugar. “ Your humming is cute.” He swore he almost dropped the cup that was in his hand. Shakily, he placed it onto the shelf, “ Ah, uhm, thank you.” he said, quietly. Not only did you help him so much, but you also had a great deal of power over him with your quiet words and presence. A harmonious laugh came from you, blossoming in the cold lounge like a rose made of flames, warming everywhere it touched. It kissed Azul’s ears with the loving flames. “ You’re welcome, darling.”

QUALITY TIME FROM YOU—Admittedly, Azul was often busy. He ran the Mostro Lounge, managed great grades and was often roped into managing school events since his knowledge and work ethic were reliable. He spent hours and hours on end in his office, and before he confessed to you, that meant he was spending a lot of that time alone. Unsurprisingly, Azul became addicted to the small moments of time he had with you. He would grasp those fleeting moments and hold them for as long as he could, before reality cruelly took them away. Upon realizing this, you began spending more time with him in his office. He’d pull a chair closer to his desk so that you could study while he worked. Somedays, you’d sit on the couch and read, while you read his contracts. But you were there, and that was enough for him.

Your book was discarded in your lap, and your head was resting against the arm of the couch. Your chest raised and lowered with your quiet breaths. Sleep had overtaken you in a harsh battle. It had been thirty minutes of you trying to keep your eyes—trying to focus on the words you were reading—but eventually you gave up. Azul was still working away, having yet to realize that you were sleeping. That was until the book fell from your lap and onto the floor with a thump. “ Are you okay—” he had begun to ask before his eyes widened when he noticed your peaceful face. “ Oh dear.” He stood from his desk, picking your book up and placing it on the table, before carefully moving your legs and arms so that you were laying down. In a way that reminded him of his mother, he lifted the throw blanket and draped it on your body. “ You can’t keep falling asleep here.” He didn’t mean it one bit.

BONUS ,,, giving and receiving physical touch with azul

OCEAN SOUNDING LOVE—Azul wasn’t the most physically affectionate, admittedly. Most of it was hand holding, a hand at the small of your back, kisses on your forehead—he didn’t like to be too physically affectionate in public places. However, whenever you both were in public, he’d always make sure that your arm was hooked with his. It was his way of showing that you were with him whilst still keeping up his gentlemanly appearance. In private, he liked to hold you against him, tightly so that he could remind himself that you were there with him. He was most willing when he was already sleepy. At that point, he was at your mercy, yearning to cling against you for the comfort that you gave him.

You followed Azul through the theater. Unfortunately, you trailed behind him slightly because of all the movement and loudness around you. You’d get distracted, glance away and then lose Azul, or whenever you did find him, someone would bump into you and you’d find yourself lost once more. Luckily, Azul always seemed to find you.

At some point, he grew tired of the game. He hooked your arm with his, averting his gaze as he did so, “ I hope this is alright. This way, it’ll be harder for us to lose each other.”

Gently, you rested your other palm against his arm, the one that held you so close and kept you warm, “ Oh, Azul, it will always be alright if it’s you,” you said, pressing a kiss to his arm, which was covered by his blazer. He could still feel the flames of your fiery rose of love.

You cannot convince me Idia smells like anything other than clean laundry like yeah he stays inside a lot and is a gamer but there’s no way his room isn’t clean he probably cleans it weekly and hates smelling bad (by a clean room I mean it’s messy but he doesn’t just leave dirty laundry everywhere) I don’t care how much of a degenerate he might seem like I swear this man would walk outside of his room and you can smell the clean laundry he’s wearing and how he smells like freshly washed bed sheets -🦭

ooh I can see it! since he (and the rest of Ignihyde) stays in his room for such a long time, it's important to mantain it as a clean space! not only that, but he also uses it to work on his inventions, so keeping trash and other stuff scattered around wouldn't be good.

it's also a break of expectation in the Nerd Gamer stereotype that I've talked before! people expect him to be unhygienic because he's always holed up in his room and stays in front of his computer for hours without breaks, but that doesn't mean he can't take care of himself.

it's as you said: Idia's room might be a bit messy, but it's not dirty. his bed is unmade but there aren't any used clothes thrown on it, there are books on the floor but all in little piles to not occupy much room, there are some boxes with tech pieces but it's most likely because it's something he uses often and needs to have close by for easy access.

I'm not sure how exactly laundry works at NRC, but I think each student has to take care of their own (judging by how Ruggie also does Leona's). Idia might not leave his room often, even if the laundry room is still inside his dormitory, but if anything his clothes are always clean because there's NO WAY Ortho would let his big brother walk around in dirty clothes.

Ortho is probably a big help in the cleaning aspect, as he doesn't make messes and takes care of Idia's well being. even if Idia stays the whole day binging some limited time event of one of his games, Ortho will ensure he takes a bath afterwards and gets a change of clothes.

as you mentioned, anon, Idia's parents have a health related business, and as such I believe they'd value hygiene a lot, so Idia might be used to being clean.

though it's funny to think what would happen should he take a shower because like... does his hair just... goes off? how does he take care of it? is there any special product he can use or is it literally some magical fire that do as it pleases on his head?

about his scent, I think he might have a bit of that stuffy room smell, since he does stay in most of the time, but also smoky because... his hair is on fire, you know.

though I can also see him smelling like clean laundry! I belive he wouldn't like strong cleaning products, so it'd be more of a subtle scent. since Idia cares so much about what other's think of him, unless he's about to go on a super stealthy late night snack run, he'd do his best to wear presentable and fresh clothes, no need to give anyone more reasons to mock him.
