There we go then, here's the community link, can't wait to finally get into a proper exchange with this fandom :D
Is there an SNW community thingy on Tumblr already? I think that could be quite useful, if not I'm honestly considering to just make one myself because I need to connect with y'all more effectively🧍
Human Spock my beloved, been meaning to draw him for a bit, dude was pure confusion and stress throughout the whole episode
Oh wow, I‘m actually getting to learn about John Locke in class now👀👀 I thought that was just a myth I‘d hear about in the Sherlock Holmes fandom and then never actually get to have the pleasure of learning whatever the man with that particular name had to say lmao

Update: We've got one now! :]

So: Is it too soon for me to mention how devastating this episode’s cover art is now?
Mary’s bedroom, where she was first exposed to the case that would end up being the death of her. The seemingly harmless children’s stories her dad would tell her about this special diamond… I mean look at this, she even drew pictures of it and had what I’d presume to be a toy diamond here. All of that amidst an otherwise completely normal children’s bedroom with plushies, an unfinished boardgame and such. Us being able to look at her past, back when none of this had become clear, wayyyy before we or the Bakerstreet trio even met her, seeing all these childish items just lying around innocently, with a dawning fate looming over her room, just waiting for her to grow up and get behind all this. Something about the fact that the curtains are being curled up by the wind could almost make me shiver, it makes her room look even more left behind with no one there, because we know where she is now.
Is this anything? Should've probably added a photo of him talking to Jeff specifically
brooding men who cannot communicate their feelings if their life depended on it are only hot when they're fictional. if i have to deal with one in real life i will curse him and pray for his downfall every night before i go to bed
Love these guys, had a 10/10 time drawing them, gonna share the reel I did with these later too
attempting to style my 12th Doctor wig while catching up with the last two Sherlock & Co. episodes🫡 (Only one more part left to come out for the Sign of Four wooo👀)
Favorite Captain?
Captain Christopher Pike 100%
So there's a theory that Spock is a descendent of Sherlock Jolmes/ Arthur Conan Doyle, so maybe like a doodle of spock in Sherlocks classic outfit or vice versa? P.s I love your art!
this is such a great request thank you so much for requesting it Anon, I tried to get *something* out of these doodles but I'm not 100% satisfied yet so I might have to work on similar ideas some more, oh noooo/sar/pos
I'm also a big fan of this theory (unfortunately my generalized Holmes isn't looking much like Holmes rn lol sorry about that💀)
P.s thank you :D I'm very glad you do, whoever you are
Data‼️ The GOAT
I was HOPING that someone would ask for him🦫
I'd already done some sketches of him earlier and I added one more for you :)
I've still gotta figure out his 3/4 lol (and tune some stuff generally) but he's so honestly surprisingly recognizable even without color👀
I'm also really seeing why everyone's been finding him so relatable, because yes that android really is very relatable there's no debating that
Ruler and his saxophone hehe
Can you tell I've never drawn someone playing the trombone before? Lol
definitely wanna learn how to draw Riker though👀
Cowboy-ify one/some characters!!
the one on the top left was my first attempt lol so ignore that, but yeah, Pike's already a horse guy so cowboy-ifying him seemed like the logical choice🫡
Give me some Star Trek character doodle requests in my asks please, maybe no specific actions and more just characters you'd like to see me doodle please I wanna do some of that rn👀
(Sherlock Holmes and such would be fine too btw, but I'm looking to figure out Star Trek some more rn)
I've watched Star Trek SNW, TNG and the 2009 movies, but feel free to request whatever if you want lol
I’m not a fan of how smudgy it looks tbh but I think I’ve managed the viewing order in this pretty well with the help of a friend :]
I just started watching The Next Generation and it instantly starts off with an evaluation of whether humans are still cruel and whether the people in the present can account for what humans have done in the past, oh I'm loving this🦫
Well well well, if that isn’t two people who each know a different version of Kirk from separate timelines finally looking at the Kirk who actually belongs into their own timeline
And if that isn’t the guy who has impacted both of them already before ever having met them
(btw I am aware that these aren’t the scenes where they each meet their timeline’s Kirk for the first time, but I really liked how you could see the three of them in one scene here)
Ik noone did but this guy is too good for me not to draw him, here are some closeups:
Man I hate hearing opinions about movies or episodes that I care about, but haven't watched yet
I can deal with positive ones better, but even those are annoying because I'm afraid my feelings about it won't live up to that perception🧍 Negative ones are even worse though because why would you influence my watching experience like this?? I just wanted to enjoy something fun, but now you've got me wanting to prove you wrong by feeling different about it (due to me caring about said media while the other person will usually dislike it in these cases) while also wanting to take your valid opinion into consideration and see your point, so then I'm stuck feeling conflicted about it EVEN THOUGH I JUST WANTED TO ENJOY THIS, JUST LET ME WATCH IT IN PEACE AND BUILD MY OWN SECURE OPINION BEFORE HAVING IT INFLUENCED ALREADY🥸
some Star Trek doodles I did during a family reunion yesterday🫡 Here's a very rough sketch of the Enterprise too lol:
Okay that's crazy, I knew the Criterion had a plaque, but apparently there's more?? Does anyone know if these two are it or are there more Holmes places with plaques?👀
When the yaoi so fire they have a memorializing plaque
THIS IS NOT ABOUT BBC SHERLOCK THIS IS NOT A BBC SHERLOCK POST THIS IS ABOUT ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE OLD MAN YAOI
Finished the Spock collage for my portfolio
WIP for my portfolio :] I know they said I shouldn't add too much fanart, but I'm supposed to include something that explores color so when I got this idea paired with motivation, due to (apparently) just having gained a new obsession, how do you expect me to resist?😔
I'm gonna slap him onto a collage that I'm still trying to figure out tomorrow 🫡
okay so does anybody else get the thing where if you read/watch a piece of media too much the writing style/way characters talk starts to infiltrate your inner monologue?? Like why is my brain saying can not it’s literally can’t. Why are you talking in a British accent you weirdo
May I offer you the doodles of Mr. Spock I did from memory in various of my classes today?
I can feel this guy becoming more relatable by the second, not even the more I watch the movies and just the more I think about him🧍
Oooh that's really interesting!! And yeah y'all are right that does make a lot more sense
Do you guys ever just remember that Watson had to fight in the First World War?
Ah okay nevermind my last reblog then, I haven't learned about their birth dates yet, so damn I was very off about their timelines lol I completely forgot that they'd have aged that much until then and that I'd need to take their age into consideration overall lmao
Do you guys ever just remember that Watson had to fight in the First World War?
He likely did! The Crimean War was part of the anglo-afghan wars;
I'm just referring to the fact that him and Holmes both live until after the first world war, which *could* mean that he fought in it, but @amypihcs does have a point, he was pretty old at that point and I'm not sure where the British military drew the lines in terms of age for their army tbh
Do you guys ever just remember that Watson had to fight in the First World War?

Thank you so much to everyone who wanted to help me with this assignment by sending in their examples!!
I wrote it today and didn't end up needing as many as I thought for the speech itself, but I absolutely appreciate how many people sent their thoughts in, it's crazy how much support you guys offered, I'm really thankful and there was quite some interesting stuff among that :]
Hello everyone, I am having to prepare to write a speech for my literature class concerning the quality of movie adaptations of novels. So I wanted to ask: Do you guys have any adapted scenes that you found remarkable in some way? Preferably a good one, but bad examples are welcome too of course🫡
Maybe a scene from Arthur Conan Doyle‘s canon that often gets left out but you find important? Or a scene that you thought a certain adaptation absolutely nailed or really just butchered? I am specifically referring to specific scenes here and *not* to overall series’ or movies. Please do tell me about what you find remarkable in relation to the original novels, I would really appreciate any help with this as I’d started to look for examples a bit late so I only have today and tomorrow to gather them🧍♂️
This doesn’t have to concern Sherlock Holmes, it can also be about Harry Potter, etc., anything really, I just used that as an example since I plan on using Holmes as a reference/example for my thesis anyway.
Fast replies would be much appreciated, as I don’t really have any idea where to even start right now :,)
