As Someone Who Has Studied Psychology And "mental Illnesses" I Love The Fact That We See Him Express

As someone who has studied Psychology and "mental illnesses" I love the fact that we see him express himself at her level. He makes himself more personable by shedding his jacket and his shoes and therefore makes himself more "human". Then he places the cigarette on the ground on her opposite side so that if/when she decides (and that's very important, too, him allowing her the choice) to pick it up it won't be in his direction.

And she responds! She takes off her own jacket and although she doesn't say a word you can tell she's still listening to him.

A multi-Doctor special with...

…10-13.  10, 11, and 13 run around like spastic children while 12 has to babysit them all and pretend he doesn’t find their antics amusing.  Tell me this wouldn’t be funny. 10 and 13 will scronch faces at each other and build 5 devices that go “ding!” for no reason by the end of the episode.

Just listened to a much-garbled but still understandable recording of Queen Victoria speaking. As someone historically interested, the thing that saddens me most is the fact that we'll never know what these people sounded like. Did Abraham Lincoln really sound as high-pitched as contemporary accounts said he did? What was it like to hear Harriet Tubman speak? There's a few seconds of silent video of Anne Frank, but what did she sound like? Every so often I find myself looking up videos of people like Eva Peron and I listen to her speak and she's alive to me in a way a lot of these people aren't and it's all because I can listen to her voice.

“As long as you are proud, you cannot know God. A proud man is always looking down on things and people; and, of course, as long as you are looking down, you cannot see anything that is above you.”

— C. S. Lewis

‘The Book Thief’ Tells The Fictional Story Of A Young Girl Growing Up In Nazi Germany In 1939. When

‘The Book Thief’ tells the fictional story of a young girl growing up in Nazi Germany in 1939. When the story begins Liesel Meminger cannot read but by stealing an old copy of ‘A Gravedigger’s Handbook’ she convinces her foster father to teach her slowly how to read. Along the way Liesel begins to understand the awful and awesome power of words as a political world built on a dictator’s own words spells death and destruction for millions of people. The story itself is narrated by Death as he travels to and fro from place to place and the entire narrative is spun with a bleak, black sense of humor and sense of human understanding as Death spends his days living in the filth and destruction of wars and murders and, at rare moments, kindness and beauty even at the very end.

Mark calling Chloe the way he did at the end of episode 6 season 3 made me really angry as much as it broke my heart. Because if he had really succeeded in ending his own life the way he wanted, then his daughter would have had to live with that final conversation for the rest of her life. Chloe would have undoubtedly blamed herself if he really had died, wishing she’d gone to find him like she had wanted during their phone conversation.

An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works

I’m fascinated by Tess, and I’ll be perfectly honest in saying I do still ship Alec/Tess. This fic itself isn’t shipping in terms of the show but gives a (hopefully) realistic reasoning as to how Alec and Tess may have first met, how their marriage dynamics would have been, and how their marriage ultimately dissolved.

As a shorter summary, Tess can be a possessive bitch and Alec is too “good” sometimes for his own well-being.

The song that Crowley associates with Aziraphale most is I Want To Know What Love Is by Foreigner and no one can convince me otherwise.
