Ok So Leia Was Heading To Obi-wan Before The Battle Of Scarif, And Before She Ever Knew She Or Anyone

ok so Leia was heading to Obi-wan before the Battle of Scarif, and before she ever knew she or anyone would have the plans. It wasn’t just a last resort, “vader’s bout to get us we gotta go somewhere” decision. the fact that she was going to Obi-wan is probably the reason she was with the rebels and not on Alderaan.

so think in the context that a) Bail was knowingly sending his daughter, who has the genes of one of the most powerful force users ever, to go get a Jedi, b) Bail knew that he was sending the biological child of Anakin to Anakin’s former master and friend, c) Obi-wan definitely would knows who Leia is, d) Bail knows that Obi-wan is keeping an eye on Luke.

I’m not saying Bail Organa knowingly sent his force sensitive daughter to the only fully trained Jedi he knew how to get in touch with and also her force sensitive brother, but Bail Organa knowingly sent his force sensitive daughter to the only fully trained Jedi he knew how to get in touch with and also her force sensitive brother. Because he and Mon Mothma decided things had gotten to this point.

It’s been almost twenty years, but I still tear up every time I hear the Hobbits’ theme played any time during the LotR and Hobbit soundtracks.

Absolute. Perfection.

‘Rosa’ is by far my favorite episode of the new season of Doctor Who, and I want to thank Chris Chibnall and Malorie Blackman for writing it like they did. History wasn’t all glamorous or beautiful- it was harsh and unforgiving, and this episode didn’t shy away from that. They couldn’t help Rosa on that bus even though they wanted to because she needed to be arrested. She had to inspire Martin Luther King to announce the boycotting of the Montgomery Buses, because it was her not giving up her seat that started the Civil Rights Movement in the US.

That is history written right. It made me so angry watching the blatant racism on screen but that was the way it was back then. And it just made me want to cry with relief when Rosa didn’t move from her seat, because that was one step closer to equality for everyone.

a question of temptation

"But surely you must remember a little bit of what it was like there," Aziraphale was saying. He finished the wine in his glass as he waited for an answer, his fingers silently tapping out a rhythm on his crossed knees.

"Heaven?" Crowley scoffed, slouched very carefully in his seat. "'Course I do, angel, why do you think I wanted to divert the Apocalypse? Endless white marble and gold with singing echoing down every street? No thank you."

"No, not Heaven, dear boy," Aziraphale said patiently, but there was a familiar conniving glint to his eyes that Crowley could truly appreciate. "God's presence. Surely even you can miss Her love? Why stay with Hell when you could have that?"

Crowley sat up slowly, his eyebrows shooting upwards in delighted surprise. "Why, Aziraphale," he drawled, "are you tempting me to Unfall?"

"I might be," the angel said smoothly, unruffled.

Crowley laughed. "I'm an awful influence, then. Good." He threw back the rest of his own wine with a gusto that made Aziraphale frown, and then he was standing to fill it again. "I don't remember Her, angel. Hell does that to a demon, you know, we can't go around yearning for God and do our jobs successfully. I don't remember what Her love feels like." With his glass refilled, he bent down with a suddenness that was startling and placed a kiss on the very end of the angel's long nose. His yellow eyes gleamed with something approaching fondness as he sat back down in his chair as Aziraphale blushed a deep red. The angel was so thrown by Crowley's actions that he very nearly missed what the demon murmured into his glass: "Yours is enough for me, anyway."

The Moment When One Of Your New Favorite Books References/reads Like Your Absolute Favorite Poem. Dear

The moment when one of your new favorite books references/reads like your absolute favorite poem. Dear God what is it with all these awesome parallels to Yeats’s ‘The Second Coming’? My fangirling cannot be contained!

Alec Hardy’s offhand comment about ‘The Six Million Dollar Man’ raises so many more questions. Is he a secret nerd? Did he grow up watching Star Trek and Lost in Space too? SMDM aired in the early 1970s, following Lee Majors’ time as Heath Barclay on ‘Big Valley’, and it was an American production so I’m just imagining him as a ten year old finding some way of finding it on television in Scotland and then getting really excited years later when the seasons of the show were rerun and then the tapes and dvds came out.

‘The Book Thief’ Tells The Fictional Story Of A Young Girl Growing Up In Nazi Germany In 1939. When

‘The Book Thief’ tells the fictional story of a young girl growing up in Nazi Germany in 1939. When the story begins Liesel Meminger cannot read but by stealing an old copy of ‘A Gravedigger’s Handbook’ she convinces her foster father to teach her slowly how to read. Along the way Liesel begins to understand the awful and awesome power of words as a political world built on a dictator’s own words spells death and destruction for millions of people. The story itself is narrated by Death as he travels to and fro from place to place and the entire narrative is spun with a bleak, black sense of humor and sense of human understanding as Death spends his days living in the filth and destruction of wars and murders and, at rare moments, kindness and beauty even at the very end.

Trying to explain to people that it’s not a problem with your ears (I’m 24 and I’ve passed every hearing test I’ve ever been given with flying colors) and being told it must be all in your head then.

Auditory Processing Problems

• *someone says something* “what?” *repeats themselves* “sorry?” *repeats themselves again* “pardon?”

•"hey, y'see the red thing at the top of the shelf, will you get it?“ “Sorry, what?” “On the sh-” “oh yeah sure, I’ll get it.”

•*doesn’t hear teacher because someone’s pen is making a scratchy sound at the back of the room*

•*replays video 10 ten times to figure out what they’re saying*

•teachers asking, “why do you always stop writing in the middle of a sentence, just write down whatever I’m saying,” followed by the response, “I’m just processing it,” rebuked by, “we’ll stop processing it and just write.”

•*gets really focused on staring out the window and goes through four songs without hearing a single on*
