best friends......
Well said.
Why is Dean so adorable? Why am I in love with Dean Winchester? How to marry a fictional character?
Oh shoot-this isn’t google!!
Wait a minute!! I make FUN of the characters!!! You can’t bring this to ME!
I have to STOP you!! Don’t you SEE??? Dean is nothing but a brilliantly strategic, pattern-mapping, well-read, mechanically-gifted fool!!! Don’t you understand? He’s an idiot! He’s never funny or endearing ever, and it isn’t as if he's suffered a lifetime of trauma and yet still manages to find joy in the little things in life—good food, soft clothes, movies and TV, joking around. Heart on his sleeve??? Annoying! Transformative love?? Pssh!! Yeah right!! Stop being so emotional about it, geez! It isn’t as if he somehow manages to wrap up nurturing/vulnerability/love and ruthless/murderous intent into his person in a way that’s fascinating and eye-drawing and moving in its duality rather than just confusing. It isn’t like he’s the whole found family theme or something—which the show’s fans named themselves “spn family” after. What did Dean ever do to make you like him anyway???? Don’t you know you’re only allowed to find 100% unproblematic characters (that don’t actually exist) adorable??? You better check yourself, Anon!
This is the most I've posted ever but I love him ❤️
Just started Supernatural season 8 and it's pretty good but I'm confused about Dean and Sams opinions right now. Sam wants a normal life now which makes sense after the Cage but he didn't even look for Dean which is basically just abandoning him. So it makes sense why Dean would be angry and feeling like he was in fact abandoned. But what Im confused about is why Dean is angry that Sam wants a normal life. Im pretty sure that is what Dean had been wanting for Sam for a while. The only reason I can think this is, is that Dean is desperately wanting something normal after Purgatory and is getting angry at Sam, not cause he wants a normal life but because Dean feels like Sam no longer wants him around. This season feels a lot like season 1 and it's kinda annoying cause it's hard to see their character development when it's so similar to season 1.
I'm hoping the rest of the season will explain their switching opinions and stances on things.
I just needed to say something. I'm kind of frustrated.
in the supernatural that exists in my mind, the fact that sam and dean were created as the perfect vessels of the devil and an archangel makes them not totally human. there's a residual darkness and light inside them, respectively. sam especially so, after being fed demon's blood when he was a baby. it just comes up in tiny subtle ways so no one realizes there's something wrong with them
sam's ears always ring when he prays (he thinks it's a sign god is listening). rosaries feel peculiarly warm in his hands but he holds them tight anyway. chanting exorcisms leaves him lightheaded. he brittles any plant under his care no matter how many botanical books he reads. john jokes about how his weird drawings used to scare his preschool teachers but sam has no memory of making them. being inside devil's traps feels a bit like walking through water. he has always had a talent for making people and animals trust him, follow him - entranced like moths to a flame
dean on the other hand... there's an aura around him. he shines from within. people can feel it even if they can't put their finger on why he's just so charming. he wonders why he feels almost sleepy whenever he enters a church, he dislikes being so calm and unguarded. he unknowingly interferes with certain technology and makes it malfunction, like an overvoltage. babies love him but animals seem restless in his presence. when he's taking care of a wounded or ill person they heal a little bit faster but no one notices. reading enochian out loud gives him goosebumps. he thinks holy water tastes really good to everyone else too
True true true, but also, gi-hun by American standards is actually only a millionaire. He has about 38 million in USD. Which is A lot but not A LOT. It's not a billion dollars. He needs about 960 million more to get to that point
The only billionaire I support is Gihun
I keep thinking about Squid Games season 2, and specifically why In-ho didn't reveal himself.
I heard a lot of people say that hom revealing himself as young-il would destroy Gi-hun, which I agree with. It would hit Gi-hun to the core. It would permanently change his ability to trust probably.
However, I do not think this would break him but rather, prove something. The ONLY reason why gi-huns plans didn't work was because In-ho has been by his side like a little weasel. And also, the same with the captain on the boat who is preventing that team from finding Gi-hun and the other players.
The first way in-ho messed with the game was by voting as a player after the first game. He voted for everyone to stay rather than everyone to go. He then made it sound like gi-huns fault.
He also messed with gi-huns mind and just said bullshit.
Most importantly, he sabotaged the revolution. The revolution that could of worked in Young-il was on their side. And then he killed Jung Bae, made it seem like Young-il died , and made it seem like it was all Gi-huns fault.
If he revealed that he was Young-il, then all of that pressure and guilt is no longer on Gi-hun. Right now he believes he is the one at fault. And sure he might still blame himself partly if he realized he was betrayed, but he would also know it was because someone sabotaged. Someone had purposely made him fail.
And honestly, I hate that In-ho mocked Gi-hun at the end for 'playing a hero' cause it's so manipulative and hypocritical (which I'm sure is the point and in-ho knows) and its like, Gi-hun doesn't deserve all the blame at all
silly strawhats my precious
