okay weird question for the hardenshipping community

how do y’all handle maxie’s motivations? specifically in the case of his oras version. i know they were going really hard for an Extreme Opposites thing with him and archie in oras but the “doesn’t care at all about pokemon” vibe rubs me the wrong way, especially when his rse version referred to the land as the cradle of life for both humans and pokemon

like. i love maxie but as a nature/animal lover myself i struggle with his motivations sounding like that of a ceo of an oil drilling company lmao

(I also don’t like the implication that science and nature are Fully Opposed and are mutually exclusive but that’s neither here nor there)

so do you guys tweak his motivations in your headcanons? if so, how?

What would you call a character that is heavily based on a canon character (and looks like them) but has been altered by wayyyyy too many headcanons and is like 80% a totally different character

talking abt Hoenn protag kids based on my playthrough bcs they're basically just. Different characters from canon at this point and I. Frankly would love to talk abt them more to let the brainworms out. One day I'll free myself from the fear of being cringe and reveal them to the world.

Me (ghost) and Condor cooked up a trainer AU for these two!! We have our own versions but it’s mostly the same kind of vibes/tone. Here they’re 17-18 going into college because boy do you get a nice 2-3 months of nothing after graduating (at least where I was).

I gave them a full party as well! Though not all of their Pokèmon are drawn here. The Altaria is wild though!
