I don’t get Moonwater prank scenarios …. Why is Regulus suddenly not a blood supremacist but Sirius still does the prank and needs it thrown in his face for the rest of his life to be a better person

Sirius, in cannon, is a 6'5 giant who would make fun of the most popular fannon version of him out there. He's not mature enough by fifth year, in the sense that he's a prankster, and doesn't often take other people into consideration. He would do the prank regardless. In this case, the moonwater scenario, whether he acknowledged it or not, deep down, he wanted to get back at Remus for being with Regulus.
Both the Black Brothers definitely make mistakes. We all do. They hold things over each other all the time. They're brothers, their allowed to hold grudges against each other. Also, I meant the rest of his life bit as more of an exaggeration. Obviously, after a while, it's not going to be brought up that often, if at all. Some people need reminders to help them, I mean, growing up in their household, they would learn by being reminded constantly of what not to be. Constantly reminding Sirius could be Regulus' gut instinct on how to stop a repeat, whether it will help Sirius or not.
Also, any ship with Regulus that isn't like Barty or Evan or both or someone in Slytherin is probably going to have Regulus as not a blood supremacist. But it is a huge part of his character. In the end, though, he does change his way of thinking, trying to destroy a horcrux and everything. (I haven't read all the books, so I could be completely wrong on why he went horcrux hunting.) You can just push back when he changes his thinking and change how he does it.
In the end, this, the entire Marauders fandom pretty much, is fannon. Most shippers of queer relationships and mulltishippers exist because of the fanbase and the fact that you can mix and match and change shit up.
I see moonwater as more of a library get-together thing, where Sirius was probably just talking, and he brought Regulus up, and he has a lot to say on the topic. Remus, hearing how much the brothers' relationship is going downhill, he wants to try and fix it because growing up, he never had that sort of connection or any at all really and didn't want them to loose theirs. Also, thinking about it, no one, unless they asked Remus directly (which they probably wouldn't due to his scars), would know if he was a pureblood or not.
Lupin is a pureblood name, and I don't really see Lyall as the type to shout it from the rooftops that he's married to a muggle. He also hid their family away from the world (probably) when Remus was turned. So, no one really knew he existed until Hogwarts.
So Regulus, with a strained relationship with his brother, probably didn't even know that Remus was a half blood. He just saw one of his brother's Gryffindor friends trying to make friends with him in the library. It was a relationship built over a good couple years of studying and careful suggestions and correcting that by the time he found out that Remus wasn't a pureblood, Regulus didn't really have any opinion on it at all.
This confused Regulus a lot and had a mini mid-life crisis where he had to re-evaluate everything he thought he knew and the fact he still wanted to date Remus and that he wasn't repulsed by the fact.
Ultimately, with Remus pushing the brothers, they start to figure their shit out properly and start talking again.
Sorry if this all came out sounding passive aggressive that was definitely not my intention. I just got passionate about it 😅
Ok, I can't currently, at 20 past 11 at night, stop thinking about Neil Perry with a wonky walk. Like he has a left lean walk or something like that where he is always slowly walking off to the left. Charlie definitely, at first, thought Neil was coming onto him with how much he was getting into his personal space, but then he saw Neil walk out of the dining hall, from his place at the table, and saw how he slowly veered to the left.
Charlie, thinking Neil knows about the way he walks, just subtly helps him stay in the right direction even if it sometimes drives him up the wall. The thing is though, Neil doesn't know this fact about himself and is always confused when he smacks into things because he could have sworn he wasn't that close to it before.
Neil is most definitely banned from going into the woods on his own because the one time he did go into the woods by himself, he got so lost that it was the next day before anyone found him. He insists that he doesn't know how he got lost, and annoyed he walks away from them, and all the poets can do is sigh as they watch Neil slowly walk off to the left and of course Neil is looking up at the birds in a near by tree and not where he is going. And he wonders why he got lost in the first place.
Hey, are you having a bad day? Did you know that the actor of Neil Perry, Robert Sean Leonard (Bobby) loves theatre more than acting in front of a camera? Bobby's love for theatre is just like Neil's love for theatre. <3
He also once played a teacher who cares for his struggling 17-year-old student.
Sounds familiar? Let me show you something...
So don't worry. Neil is alive, and Bobby made his dream come true. ❤️
I'm like tweaking out a little bit here cos what do you mean 53 people have decided that they want to put up with my bullshit. That's 53 more than I ever thought. And what do you mean I've been adopted on tumblr and got my own tag with this messed up family that's about a probably equally messed up family.
Anyway, gonna go kick my feat and scream in a corner thinking about Remus Lupin and Barty Crouch Jr. because I am trash for them.
Damn getting called basic from a quiz be like 😐
which ao3 tag are you?

This movie changed my live <3
This is the reason that I will never finish reading atyd, I blame it for how Remus is now portrayed. Though I'm not putting hate on it, people are aloud to like what they like, just sometimes it feels like I'm reading an entirely different character.
it pisses me tf off when people who've never read the series, or watched any of the movies for that matter, try and treat canon with the same attitude they treat fanon. like a post will be talking about remus' actual personality and how his fanon characterisation destroys everything about him, goes against all he tried to be all his life, made it so that half-baked aids metaphor fans cling onto for dear life has turned super fucking problematic instead of just half-baked and careless after-thought esque rep like all of jkrs other rep...valid points. and a 12 yo who read only atyd and views remus as a greyback clone will say "he can be both 🤗"
yeah sure!! but he isn't tho. because his entire character is him being NOT that. so he CAN'T. in an au, it's interesting to explore, sure.
but rn?? factually? canonically? he isn't and there's no changing that but they'll never get that, because in fanon he's no one way, and they don't understand the difference.
u get me? he can't be because he's NOT. it's that simple.
"umm actually he's both a sweet book worm and an angry dominant beastly 6 foot thirty jock he's so cute and multifaceted"- ARE U HEARING YOURSELF???
not my remus. canon remus you will always be famous and i love your cowardly, anxious, self-loathing, average height, KIND, pushover self keep it up sis 🤎
tbh ive never heard of this discourse at all but i do think he's nerdy and not a weird alpha male so yeah !
My rabbit hole has rabbit holed, so I don't know if this is a headcanon or fact, but is Luna related to Ollivander?
If so, I present to you wandmaker Luna Lovegood. Who continues the Ollivander wandmaker tradition. Not even because of Garrick, but because she finds it so interesting how the wands speak. And all the fine details that go into making a wand.
I'm sorry (not really) to all my favourite characters who have been put through the ringer either in their actual media or just because of my deranged little mind, your sacrifice is greatly appreciated.
Barty and Remus both get carried around a lot for the same reason but very different at the same time.
Remus, who's having a worse day with his chronic pain than usual, is forced into James' arms, kicking, screaming, and all, but gives up quickly because the relief is almost instant from not having to stand and the affection is nice.
Barty, on the other hand, literally can not walk from how well he was fucked the night before. He tried, multiple times, in fact, but he can't feel his legs, and everything feels so heavy. So he wraps himself around Evan, who easily carries Barty around like he hasn't disabled his boyfriend for a short period of time.
