somedays youre kept dazy and tired, making it easier for you to stay still for long periods of time

other days, they want you awake. they want you aware of the art youre taking part in <3.

so you're restrained, heavily. sometimes youre strung up by rope or chains from the ceiling, sometimes draped along the couch, other times you have to sit upright in a chair for hours at a time

they become so focused, sometimes they don't even hear you asking for breaks. it's only when you start to shift in discomfort that they look up from their easel, brows furrowed, asking, "what are you doing?"

Artist having paintings upon paintings of you around their house. they can't seem to get enough of your image, spending countless hours replicating each detail

when they're not painting you, you're glued to their hip. they want to touch your skin, your hair, feel the texture of your clothes so they know what to paint next

sometimes you wake up to them watching you sleep. what better time to memorize your details when you're at your most peaceful? when you won't shy away?

Artist having days where all they do is paint, and paint, and paint, and paint, and by the end of the day your muscles ache fiercely from being contorted and held in position

but oh, oh, how beautiful you are in their eyes. you consume their every thought.

Added another love interest/rival to yandere for my yandere boyfriend RPG. New guy is Shinkiro (black hair), birthday August 24. Unlike Yurei (white haired glasses boy), Shinkiro is more outgoing and shameless. Yurei will try to avoid the yandere, and try to convince the player to also avoid him, pointing out his toxic behaviors. Shinkiro will deliberately antagonize yandere boy by flirting/being openly affectionate with the player in front of him.

Featuring a fully customizable MC for the player (gender, appearance, name, birthday and more). Free to play, WIP.

Worked on the light effects for 2-Headed Boy today. Before, the city lights would only turn on/off when the player loaded into a new map (depending on the in-game time during that map load), but that seemed pretty awkward. I mean, what if you're hanging out on the same map from daytime until it's supposed to be dark?

The map would get dark before, but the city lights wouldn't come on and the open/closed shop signs wouldn't switch without changing what area you're in, which could get confusing. If you were standing outside the mall and the business hours passed, the sign wouldn't light up "closed" instead of "open" unless you went into a building and came back out for example.

But now, light effects are dynamic! Streetlights come on when night falls whether you change map or not. Open/closed signs come on when they're supposed to for your MC's local businesses.

And the window lights for that weird fenced off condemned house.

Probably more important than all of that though, is the game now has a more eye-friendly font! Plus, a handy window in the top corner so you can always know the date, time, and season.

You also might have noticed it says it's October in the video, but the season is winter; I manually changed the season to winter without bothering to match the month, just to show off the winter map. But the game starts in October, and so will start on the fall map :)

On the the guys or your player character?

Player character is a definite yes, the guys... Maybe 🤔 from a technical standpoint it's easy, but I would have to fit it into the story somehow as an option.

Went back and did a little work on the character creator for 2-Headed Boy, just on the hue shifters to improve color selection.

Before "tan" skin looked too much like an orange spray tan. So I adjusted that to make it more natural looking and named it "medium." Also added an olive tone.

I added grey and brown to the eye color options and fixed the green so it looks less neon (there's still a bright green option though). Made yellow actually look yellow instead of light orange.

I have more work to do on this of course, the biggest thing being clothing and accessory options as I'm not crazy about the placeholder assets I have for those :/

Added another small QoL feature for 2-Headed Boy. Now you can press a hotkey to access a message backlog and review the last 20 40 messages you've read in the game. Just in case you miss some dialogue, or want to review what was said, see what dialogue choices you chose, etc.

I might need to increase the backlog to more than 20 messages though. I did end up increasing this to 40, will see if that's a good amount when playtesting.

Also wrote more dialogue for the White Day scene that triggers with Kage if you got a White Day gift from Yurei (which only happens if you gave Yurei something on Valentine's Day, of course).

Tfw you're a yandere boy and you blame something creepy you did on another guy, but your lie backfired because your crush lowkey thought it was cute so now you have no choice but to ruin the other guy's life u_u
